Gage SchematicsThe information on this page is very useful when performing an LSx or LT1 conversion into a vehicle with factory electric gages. The schematics will allow the user to properly identify the gage connectors in their vehicle and pinout the leads necessary to make the LSx or LT1 electronics work with their gage cluster. New diagrams will be continually added so be sure to check back often. F-Body Gage Cluster Schematics (98 - 02 Camaro, Firebird) These schematics detail the power and ground wires as well as wires which provide engine rpm (tachometer signal). Keep in mind that most of the engine data (oil pressure, water temperature, and voltage) as well as fuel level comes across the serial data wire. This data is most easily obtained by tapping into the serial data wire on your OBDII port. Simply connect another wire from the OBDII port and run it to the gage cluster. Keep in mind that if you are using an F-Body gage cluster in a conversion, such as a fox body mustang and are not using an F-Body fuel sender, you will have to scale the fuel gage information in the PCM tune. This can be done with HPTuners.
